Heathrow Express Maintains Service

Heathrow Express maintains service during tube strike. Heathrow Express is to operate as normal during the current 48-hour London Underground strike. The company said trains would continue to run from Paddington station to the airport every 15 minutes between 05.10 and 23.42. Trains call after 15 minutes at Heathrow Central for Terminals 1, 2 and 3 before arriving at Terminal 5 in 21 minutes.

Terminal 5 Heathrow and AV8Tours

I was really worried when I found out that the flight I'd booked through AV8Tours was from Heathrow Terminal 5. They assured me that everything was now working but I had my reservations. I had visions of my luggage not turning up and being stuck in the same clothes for the next 7 days! I must admit I was not only relieved to see my suit case chugging along on the carousel but actually rather impressed by my whole Terminal 5 experience. It only took me 15 minutes from checking in my luggage, going through passport control and the xray machine to the departure lounge. Not a queue in sight! I then found myself in a light, bright airy terminal with good food and shopping choices.

On my way home I was just as worried, would my luggage be waiting for me or would it have gone on a holiday of it's own via Bolivia or perhaps via terminals 1,2,3 +4 ! Again, not much of a wait at passport control and then I'd only been waitng for about 15 minutes (in the nicely appointed seats close at hand) when my luggage came into view on 1 of the 11 carousels. Thank you AV8Tours andTerminal 5, I'll definitely travel with you again
